La Rochelle by bike

​Head off on a bike along the trails and bikeways around La Rochelle and discover the town while cycling. The coastal trail is a great way to get going. If you fancy more, just follow the Vélodyssée and its 1,200 km and its waymarked, laid-out itineraries, weaving across 9 coastal departments from Roscoff to Hendaye.

From La Rochelle, head up north towards Marans, an old lookout point on the Sèvre Niort estuary for a 25 km hike along waterways and canals; or head south direction de Rochefort , 50 km away, along the banks of the Charente.
